Upstate Medical University
Exceptional Corporate Volunteer of the Year!
When it comes to corporate volunteerism, Upstate is tops.
In recognition of its community outreach efforts, Upstate Medical University was named Corporate Volunteer of the Year by the Corporate Volunteer Council and the United Way of Central New York.
The honor was presented at the annual United Way of Central New York awards showcase, held April 27 at the Palace Theater.
Nicole Standish of the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) applauded Upstate’s efforts. “The list of Upstate Medical University’s volunteer efforts in our community is tremendous. If there was a need, the team at Upstate was there to support it. It would be impossible to measure the impact their generosity has had on our community but we are pleased to recognize their efforts and say thank you for your dedication to the CVC and our community.”
The Corporate Volunteer Council of Central New York had a great time hosting friends from Interfaith Works Center for New Americans. For many of our guests, this was their first experience at an Ice Hockey game.
Everyone really enjoyed themselves as several of the crunch characters visited and the crunch scored 4 exciting goals to beat our the Senators 4-1!
We look forward to more opportunities to show our new friends around Syracuse and all the amazing things it has to offer.
Special thank you to the Syracuse Crunch for providing the tickets so our group could enjoy this awesome evening together!
